Environmental Features

The Laurel Valley Transportation Improvement Project area offers a rich and diverse history. Nestled in the mountains and valleys lie an abundant amount of man-made, natural, and cultural features. As part of the Phase I - Preliminary Alternatives Analysis, these features will be studied to assist in the determination of the most practical alternate corridors, alignments, or transportation upgrading options for the project.

By consulting maps, other secondary information and investigating the project area in person, as well as through community input, the project team can pinpoint features that can act as constraints to the construction of an alternative in a certain area. The links on the left provide a brief description of each feature to be studied.
