The LVTIP Feasibility Study identified a Draft Preferred Improvement Concept, and the project is divided into three sections for advancement through Preliminary Engineering, Final Design, and Construction. This Draft Concept will include improvements to enhance safety, mobility and access consistent with land use and projected future growth in the region. The improvements will occur on or near the existing alignment of Route 981, extending from Route 30, near the Arnold Palmer Regional Airport, to the Route 819/Route 981 intersection in Mount Pleasant.
